How to Pair Your Bluetooth Smartphone with a 2015 Honda CR-V
It’s Easy to Pair your Bluetooth Smartphone with the 2015 Honda CR-V
Honda has installed a touch screen interface in many of their 2015 model lineup, including the 2015 Honda CR-V, which incorporates a huge amount of functionality, specifically due to the capabilities of bluetooth. You can use your new bluetooth equipped HondaLink system both as a streaming audio device and for hands-free calling from your bluetooth smartphone using the CR-V’s sound system. With bluetooth, you don’t have to worry about dealing with any cables cluttering your brand new CR-V by streaming information wirelessly to the HondaLink system after some quick setup.
The video above is a brief tutorial for how to easily pair your bluetooth smartphone with the HondaLink system which is featured in all EX and EX-L models. Here’s a quick step by step outline of how to pair your bluetooth smartphone with a 2015 CR-V.
Bluetooth Pairing Instructions
1. Tap “Settings” on the Home screen
2. Tap “Bluetooth” and make sure the Bluetooth is turned on
3. Select the Bluetooth device list and then select Add a Bluetooth Device
3. Turn on the Bluetooth on you phone and make it discoverable
4. Tap Search on your Honda Screen and scan with your phone
4. When the system finds you phone, tap it’s name on the Honda screen and compare the confirmation codes just to make sure they match
5. Your phone is now paired and you should receive a confirmation on the Honda screen saying it was successful
6. Confirm on your phone what information you would like the Honda Link System to be allowed to access on your phone as you are prompted
7. Your phone is paired and synced with your Honda CR-V!

I am having problems with my connection to my Honda CRV 2015. It worked for the first year and suddenly when driving it will connect then disconnect and will not allow me to make a call. Yet it allows me to play my music off my phone. I have had the phone upgraded, I have had another new bluetooth installed into the car. When I am stationery it allows me to make a call but as soon as I start moving connects then disconnects and no calls can be made. Please can you help me.
Hi Lana,
We are sorry to hear this is happening. I spoke with our Honda service team and they suggest un-pairing and re-pairing the phone. If that does not work, try calling the hands-free helpline at 1-888-528-7876.
We hope that helps!
I did this and phone works but nt pandora or any gps app includung google. Nexus 5 x
My phone is hooked up but I’m having trouble streaming music. I choose my playlist on the screen but it won’t sync with it or play music . I have pushed every button possible and nothing.
The Bluetooth phones are designed to prevent the driver from making calls while driving. This design is mandated for safety reasons and prevent unattentive driving. Drivers can answer calls but not dial numbers when driving.
i have successfully paired my phone, I am not able to use the voice activation…it states my smartphone is not supported. I have a 2015 honda CRV. I had Galaxy 4 and it worked fine.

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy J7 and tried to sync it with my 2015 CRV and it wouldn’t recognize my phone. What do I do now?

I paired my Samsung J7 (2015) phone with Bluetooth when I purchased my previously owned 2015 CR-V. Now I have a second Samsung phone (J7v-2017) which I cannot pair to Honda Bluetooth. I suspect since the phone models and phone number are the same Bluetooth cannot pair with the second phone. How, or can I, delete the first pairing so that I can add the second phone? Or, is this not the issue? Please help.
I have an LG Tracfone. It pairs with the Bluetooth but the phonebook doesn’t automatically sync when the car is started.
I was able to get my smartphone paired back with my Honda CRV EX 2015 per the video. You may want to mention in the video that “Pairing” could also be “Scan” or “Sync”. My Samsung J7 says “Scan”instead of “Pairing”. Thank you!

I want Google maps from my iPhone 6 to display on my 2015 CRV screen. Possible? If so, what do I need to do?

we have the basic crv. no touch screen, how about some directions for us lowly downscale buyers?
. I inadvertently turn on something called private mode. I believe it is a setting on the car’s phone software. The result is when I make a call from the car (using the car’s phone presets) the call is made but as soon as the number begins dialing the phone disconnects from the car’s audio system to my Samsung Mobil phone and the radio comes back through the audio system. Meanwhile the call is on my Mobil phone
I have a 2015 and there is no settings, there is a phone button and it pops up with a iphone button to click on. I have an android.
Thanks for this post. We have a 2015 CRV Touring model. Full disclosure — we purchased it out of state because me moved back to Colorado after we bought it. When we pair our phone with the car, we can’t see the screen on the phone any more. Is there a way to pair it and still see the phone’s screen? It’s like the car owns the phone! Thanks
No luck getting my just-bought 2015 Honda CR-V Touring’s Nav to link by bluetooth with my Samson Galaxy J7’s Google Maps. [The salesman did link my J7’s phone function]. Anyone know how to link Nav and G-Maps with a USB cable? Do I need to download an app on the J7 to do so?
To add a new phone in 2015 Honda CRV, we first had to delete all existing phone connections. Deleting (forgetting) phones can be done by tapping on the following icons: Menu > Settings > Phone > Bluetooth Device List > Tap once lightly on the phone you want to delete > Delete this Device > Yes.
My new Samsung S10 will not pair with my 2015 CRV. I have had at least 4 other phones in the past, the last a Samsung S5, and never had difficulty connecting the phone to the 2015 CRV. I can’t seem to find out why it’s not connecting. My bluetooth is turned on, on my phone. Any thoughts greatly appreciated, Thanks!!!
How do I remove a phone I no longer have, from the screen of my 201 Honda CRV? I read that I can only have 4 (previous) phones listed, and I don’t know how to “un-pair” them. I never had trouble adding a new cellphone before, but the Samsung S10 just won’t pair.
I have the Google pixel 5 and while the music is playing from my phone thru my 2015 honda cr-v, the honda display shows “no device connected”
I have followed the instructions and my phone is connected but when someone calls and I answer the call in the car the caller can hear me but I am unable to hear them through the speakers
Any suggestions as to what the issue might be?
