The low Honda Accord Hybrid sales aren’t due to low demand but rather low production. Angie Nucci, Honda North America’s Senior Environment & Safety Specialist claims that the company has suffered from “component supply constraints” on the hybrid version of the Accord produced in Marysville, Ohio. What exactly the “constraints” are will not be announced, but Honda does plan to continue production. Increased demand comes not only from the US but also from markets overseas like Japan where the government awards strong financial incentives to hybrid buyers.
