New 2012 Honda Crosstour at Fisher Honda in Boulder
Fisher Honda Welcomes the Newly Named 2012 Honda Crosstour
While the 2012 Honda Crosstour is not expected to have any major advances in looks or basic design, one of its major changes will be in its name. For 2012, the former Honda Accord Crosstour will now be known as the Honda Crosstour. Along with the new name will come a slightly higher price tag. Expect to pay around $350 more for the sleek, sporty, and fuel-efficient 2012 Honda Crosstour at Fisher Honda, resulting in a starting price of about $31,150.
2012 Honda Crosstour Technical Specifications
The 2012 Honda Crosstour is powered by a 2.5L V-6 engine with 271 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque. The smooth V-6 is equipped with Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management system, which automatically deactivates two or three cylinders to conserve gas in low-demand driving conditions. The 2012 Honda Crosstour’s only available transmission is a five-speed automatic, which delivers power with crisp shifts. The extra gear added from last year’s four-speed model provides improved fuel economy and better throttle response.
As with the majority of CUVs, the 2012 Honda Crosstour’s standard drivetrain is front-wheel drive, with an automatically activated all-wheel drive system that acts as an all-weather grip-enhancer. The system will normally operate in front-wheel drive but will automatically transfer power rearward if the front tires start to slip. When traction is restored, it will return to front-wheel drive.
The 2012 Honda Crosstour V-6 gets 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway when running in front-wheel drive. Fuel-economy drops to 17/25 mpg when all-wheel drive is activated.
Features of the 2012 Honda Crosstour
The 2012 Honda Crosstour comes standard with:

• Dual-zone automatic climate control
• Manual tilt/telescope steering wheel with audio and cruise buttons
• Power moonroof
• Bluetooth
• USB audio interface
• Heated mirrors
• Anti-lock four-wheel disc brakes

Spaciousness will not be an issue for the 2012 Honda Crosstour, which features 25.7 cubic feet of space behind the rear seat. With the split rear seatbacks folded down you will have a whopping 51.3 cubic feet of luggage space. With useful cargo volume, exceptional passenger room, and solid driving satisfaction, the 2012 Honda Crosstour is a thoughtful alternative to a more conventional SUV.
For the 2012 Honda Crosstour, Glacier Blue Metallic will replace Twilight Blue Metallic, and Tango Red Pearl is being replaced by a luminous Basque Red Pearl color.
