Green Car Roadmap From Honda
If we are honest – and at Fisher Honda, the premiere Honda dealership in Boulder, Colorado we like to be honest – Honda has a somewhat spotty history when it comes to hybrids, electric cars, and zero emission vehicles in general. They have had some successes, of course, but they are not currently the leader in green technology. That said, this may be changing as Honda admits this and rolls up their sleeves to get to work on a Green Car Roadmap for Honda.
What’s on the horizon for Honda?
? Small, hybrid cars at the right price – low. People don’t want to pay too much extra for a car that gets good gas mileage necessarily.
? Partial hybrid technology on larger vehicles will allow current models to become more fuel efficient as the years go on.
? Fit EV in 2012 will not be a hybrid but a full electric vehicle. This has quite a few people excited in the United States.
? Are gas models really as good? Not really. While some are advertised as 40 mpg, that is usually highway mileage, which isn’t a good indicator unless you spend all your time on the highway.
? More dedicated hybrids with great styling, not pushing the fact that they’re hybrids or “green” – just cool cars that get good gas mileage.
Will this loose road map help Honda in the short term and long term? Only time will tell. That said, down at Fisher Honda – the leading Boulder, Colorado Honda dealer – we know that there are a lot of great Honda models available now that are reliable, get good gas mileage, are stylish, and don’t cost an arm and a leg. Stop in and let our sales team show you why Honda is winning in so many areas when it comes to cars and trucks.
