2015 Honda Odyssey makes List for Practicality and Fuel-Efficiency

The 2015 Honda Odyssey was named to New York Daily News’ list of 5 fuel-efficient MPVs. The 2015 Honda Odyssey was named for its practicality and fuel-efficiency as an MPV (mutli-purpose vehicle). Its fuel economy is 19 city/ 28 highway mpg*, making it a fuel-efficient MPV.

“Unsurprisingly, the current and long-standing minivan king is an inclusion in this list,” the New York Daily News article says of the fuel-efficient MPV. “The 2015 Honda Odyssey is proof that the minivan segment is alive and well, and although they may have lost their ‘cool’ to some extent, there’s no denying that a minivan is the most practical way to haul 6 or more people.”

The 2015 Honda Odyssey seats seven in the LX model and eight in the EX and above models, so it earns its name as a people-mover. With its LATCH seating positions the Odyssey can safely hold five car seats.

According to the Kelley Blue Book site, “The 2015 Honda Odyssey may just have the most flexible interior layout of any vehicle you can buy. Not only can it seat up to eight passengers, the second row cleverly reconfigures to fit three child booster seats at the same time.”

Along with its seating capacity, the Odyssey has 148.5 cubic feet of cargo behind the front seats. “The 2015 Honda Odyssey uses every part of its generous interior space. The 3rd-row ‘Magic Seat’ splits 60/40, folding into the floor with one pull, while the 2nd-row seats can slide outward 1.5 inches,” according to Kelley Blue Book. “If you need small-item storage, there are bins aplenty, and we lost track of how many cup and bottle holders there are.”

The 2015 Honda Odyssey is also road-trip ready with a theater-like, rear-seat entertainment system that is available on the EX-L model and standard on the Touring models. There is an HDMI port for gaming consoles, and Dolby 5.1 surround-sound system. A handy feature of the Touring Elite model is that it comes with a HondaVAC, which makes cleaning up easy and convenient. It is located on the driver’s side rear of the vehicle and can reach to the front-passenger area. The HondaVAC comes with two attachments and has an easy-to-remove waste bin.
