The Redesigned 2015 Honda Fit
Honda recently made the decision to skip the 2014 model year for the Honda Fit. This means that there will be a completely redesigned 2015 Fit that will be available at the end of 2014. While Honda has not released the full details for the Fit, we still know a few of the new changes for the 2015 model year. The new Honda Fit will have a modern, sleek and sporty exterior design. That, combined with new technology advancements and fun-to-drive handling makes the 2015 Fit a very appealing small hatchback.
The New Features
The Fit now has an aerodynamic body that is constructed using high-tensile steel. There are new body lines that give the new Fit aggressive style and a very attractive look. Along with those changes, there are new headlights along with a new sportier front grille.
Since the Honda Fit has always been known for being a great small hatchback car because of it’s interior space and efficient usage interior design. The new evolved interior of the Fit now has 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space, along with the classic Honda-exclusive Magic Seat to increase space. The 2015 Fit offers more rear passenger legroom and the seats are now available in leather.
There is now a 130-horsepower, i-VTEC engine that is equipped with Earth Dreams Technology to improve the fuel efficiency of the Fit. with the new model, Honda has included a 6-speed manual transmission, which is improved over the previous 5-speed option. As always, there will still be the option for the Automatic transmission. Honda has improved the suspension and created a revised sport-tuned suspension. This new suspension system creates a sportier feel of the vehicle while improving the overall ride of the car.
The completely redesigned Honda Fit will now come packed full of technology. One of the new features that will be available is a 7-inch touch screen audio display. Standard features include; Bluetooth connectivity, rearview camera and Expanded View Driver’s Mirror.
It sure seems like the Fit is beginning to make efforts to dominate the small hatchback market. With all the available features that will be able to be found on the new 2015 Fit, it will be no surprise when they fly off the lot.
