The New Interior Features of the 2015 Honda CR-V Touring
Let’s start out with the significant mechanical changes that are present in the new 2015 Honda CR-V’s. First off, all of the 2015 Honda CR-V’s feature CVT’s, or continuously variable transmissions for increased transmission efficiency. The 2015 model also feature a new 2.4L Earth Dreams engine that produces the same 185 horsepower but also produces 181 lb-ft of torque, up from 163 lb-ft the previous year. Between the new CVT and a more efficient engine, the EPA mpg specs are 27 mpg city , 33 mpg highway, and 28 combined mpg in the AWD (All Wheel Drive) model. The FWD model increases the highway and combined ratings by 1 mpg each. This is a nice step up in fuel economy from the previous model year.

Slide into the driver’s seat of the new 2015 Honda CR-V Touring Edition and you’ll notice some fine tuning that’s been done between this and the last model of the Honda CR-V. There are some new features present on the dash of the new CR-V. The first thing you’ll notice is the new push button start, which is a nice added convenience. You’ll also notice that there is now a button for the powered rear lift-gate, which is a feature that has been a long time coming to the CR-V. The other button in the row is something new. This is the new Collision Mitigation Braking System that comes with the Touring trim level of the 2015 Honda CR-V. Where the previous version of the CR-V could warn you that you’re coming too close to an object in front of or behind you when in reverse, this new system can actually activate the braking system of the vehicle. This is not a way of controlling the car for the driver but could very easily prevent damage to your car or another while parking, or potentially something more significant. It’s that little extra touch to add another layer of protection and safety for everyone.
New Features Beyond the Dash of the 2015 Honda CR-V
Other than these new features on the dashboard, there’s a lot new going on in the 2015 Honda CR-V Touring. The new CR-V’s all feature adjustable arm rests over the static ones of previous models. The center armrest also contains and HDMI input, two USB plug ins, and a power outlet. On the rear side of the center armrest console, you’ll see the added convenience of two vents for the back seat that are now standard on ever 2015 CR-V model. The Lane Keeping Assist system can both warn you that you are leaving your lane by shaking your steering wheel and gently guide the steering of the car so that it stays in its lane. Along with all of these features, the 2015 Honda CR-V also features Honda Roadside Assistance for the entirety of the initial 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty.
There’s a lot going on with the 2015 Honda CR-V! Let us know what you think of the changes in the comments below.

I just looked at the new CRV Touring. One of the greatest and most welcome features is the powered rear lift gate. Even better than the Ford “foot activated” rear gate! I would have appreciated the addition of a power controlled front passenger seat. All in all, it seems like a great car!
