Comparing the 2014 Honda Accord Coupe and Sedan

Many car buyers are intrigued by the sporty lines and aggressive look of the Honda Accord Coupe. But what really separate it from the sedan? It’s more than just the number of doors.

The practicality of four doors is what really makes the sedan more popular than the coupe. It is much easier for passengers to access the rear seats. And if there is a car seat in question, the sedan will make life much easier. While the sedan may not look as sporty as its coupe sibling, it is equipped with a capable 185-hp 4 cylinder, and offered with a heart-pumping 278-hp v6. If you’re after a V6 with a manual transmission, however, you’ll have to have to give up two doors; the V6 sedan is only offered with an automatic transmission. The sedan starts at the LX trim level which includes:

  • Honda’s i-MID infotainment system
  • A rear-backup camera
  • Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control with Air-Filtration System
  • Pandora compatible Bluetooth streaming audio
  • Of course, the sedan is built with Honda’s ACE II body structure for safety.

At a $1,630 premium over the sedan, the coupe begins at the LX-S trim level. It features a sportier build with unique body panels and lights, as well as larger 17’ wheels. Inside, the coupe also features a unique instrument cluster and door cards. In addition to all the standard features found on the sedan, the coupe features and upgraded 6 speaker audio system.
