What’s Honda’s Answer to the Wagon? The 2015 Honda Crosstour
With seating for five, the 2015 Honda Crosstour is a wagon version of the Accord sedan. The Crosstour is offered with a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine or with a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine. A four-wheel drive option is available on the EX-L V-6 trim level. Edmunds highlights the Crosstour’s roomy seating, car-like driving dynamics, and quiet cabin. Users on Car and Driver rate the Crosstour 4 stars out of 5. U.S. News likes the Crosstour’s spacious rear seat and controlled handling. Here’s a look at the performance, safety, and features of the 2015 Honda Crosstour.
Performance of the 2015 Honda Crosstour
The Crosstour utilizes variable cylinder management. With this system, “the V-6 engine’s cylinders activate and deactivate based on power demands. This lets the engine run in 3-cylinder mode longer, which maximizes fuel-efficiency, while still providing seamless transitions to all 6 cylinders when more muscle is needed,” according to Honda.
The 2015 Honda Crosstour gets 22 city/ 31 highway/ 25 combined mpg* in the 5-speed automatic, two-wheel drive models. Six-speed automatic, V-6 two-wheel drive models achieve 20/30/23 mpg* and the four-wheel drive model gets 19/28/22 mpg*.
