After receiving a successful redesign for the 2013 model year, we are happy to report that the 2015 Honda Civic’s changes are pretty minimal—after all, why try to fix something that’s already working so well for so many drivers? However, there are some noteworthy updates for 2015 that have made Honda’s small car even more appealing. Perhaps the most exciting addition to the Civic for the 2015 model year is the new Special Edition trim, found on Civic Sedan models, but we think it’s a good idea to go over the Civic’s exterior updates from the 2013 redesign to get an idea of just how great this small car looks.
Civic Special Edition: Sliding right between the entry-level 2015 Civic LX and EX trims, the new Special Edition (or SE) trim level takes the features of the LX and adds on a continuously variable transmission, one-touch power moonroof, automatic climate control, Honda LaneWatch, 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen interface, and a set of 15-inch alloy wheels.
Alloy Wheels: Alloy wheels are available on the Civic in 15, 16, and 17-inch sizes for a lightweight, durable, and stylish alternative to traditional steel wheels.
Body-Colored Features: Available body-colored accents like heated side mirrors give the 2015 Honda Civic a dimension of class that simply isn’t found on most small cars these days.
Front Grille: The thin front grille of the Civic helps give it a streamlined look, and the available chrome accents on the front end add another level of sophistication to an already stylish small car.
Aggressively Designed: Both the Civic Sedan and Coupe have curves that are sculpted to cut through the air with minimal resistance, but they also help accentuate the Civic’s aggressive new design that makes it feel as though Honda’s small car would be just as comfortable on a track as it is on the street.
Smart Entry: New for the current generation, your Civic can detect when the key fob is nearby and unlock with just the push of a button on the door handle. No more fishing for keys when you’re in a hurry.
