HR-V is Available with AWD and has Flat-Folding Rear Seats

The all-new 2016 Honda HR-V is set to go on sale May 15. It takes design cues from its subcompact sibling the Honda Fit, but the HR-V is classified as a compact crossover, so it is larger. The HR-V is 9.1 inches longer and 3.2 inches taller than the 2015 Fit, according to Car and Driver. If you are looking for something slightly larger than the Fit and all-wheel drive, the HR-V is for you.

There are three different ways to configure the interior of the HR-V. Tall mode adds 4 feet of vertical space for cargo in the second row. The Magic Seat easily lifts up and cargo can be placed on the floor. With long mode, cargo that is up to 8 feet long can be transported by folding down the rear seats and the front passenger seat. The advantages of utility mode are utilized with the rear seats down. The great thing is that the rear seats fold completely flat! All of these modes are also in the 2015 Fit.

With the rear seats up there is 24.3 cubic feet of space. With the rear seats down there is 58.8 cubic feet of cargo room. Passenger room is 100.1 cubic feet of space.

Safety features include an electronic parking brake, brake assist, advanced airbag system, and hill start assist. Honda is seeking a 5-star overall crash test rating from the NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick designation from the IIHS.
