Thinking of Buying a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder Near Boulder?
If you’ve been shopping around for a mid-sized SUV in the Boulder area, you’ve probably come across the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. This SUV offers performance features like:
- Sequential electronic fuel injection
- Independent strut front suspension
- Automatic transmission
However, if you do your homework, you’ll know better than to go with the Pathfinder, which pales in comparison to the 2015 Honda Pilot. The 2015 Honda Pilot is much safer and much more spacious than the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder.
The Honda Pilot has smart sensors and seat sensors that deploy the airbags with different levels of force, depending upon the size of the passenger and the force of a crash’s impact. For example, if a child or very small adult were leaning against the door panel during an accident, the airbags would deploy with reduced force. The Nissan Pathfinder’s airbags deploy full force, regardless of the size of the passengers, which could lead to very serious injuries.
The 2015 Honda Pilot also offers Active Head Restraints as standard equipment. During a rear-end collision, the Active Head Restraint system allows the headrests to flex forward, in order to prevent serious neck and spine injuries. The Nissan Pathfinder doesn’t come with this system.
The Honda Pilot also outperforms the Nissan Pathfinder in storage and passenger capacity, with the Pilot able to accommodate 8 passengers to the Pathfinder’s 7. The Pilot also provides 87 cubic feet of cargo space with the second seat folded, compared to the meager 79.8 cubic feet offered by the Nissan Pathfinder.
To put all of these numbers into perspective, we’ve prepared the table below, so that you can see this information side-by-side:
