How Does the 2014 Nissan Frontier Compare to Other Popular Midsize Trucks?
Boulder drivers have quite a few pickup trucks out on today’s roads to choose from, and one that frequently enters the conversation is the new 2014 Nissan Frontier. In addition to an ability to take care of small to medium-sized loads while remaining reasonably affordable, the new Frontier includes:
- Competitive V6 engine
- Selectable four-wheel-drive
- Standard rearview camera
Despite everything the 2014 Nissan Frontier has to offer, the 2014 Honda Ridgeline actually outperforms the Frontier in a number of the categories that matter most. While these trucks offer similar power from their V6 engines, the Ridgeline steps it up in terms of suspension, brakes, features, and space.
Both the 2014 Honda Ridgeline and the 2014 Nissan Frontier come standard with steering wheel mounted audio and cruise controls, a rearview camera, and power windows, doors, and locks. Still, the Ridgeline outshines the competition with standard manual air conditioning and a sliding electric power rear window, neither of which are available on the Frontier.
Also, while both of these trucks come standard with an AM/FM stereo with a CD player and MP3 player, only the Ridgeline comes standard with a stereo anti-theft system. The Frontier doesn’t even have an available stereo anti-theft system.
