Are You Looking for the 2014 Subaru Tribeca in Boulder?

It’s not easy to find a vehicle that fits your needs as well as the needs of your entire family, but the SUV segment is a good place to begin your search. With the size, technology, and capabilities of the latest SUVs, it’s hard to make a decision between all of the models. One option is the 2014 Subaru Tribeca, which is getting attention this year for its:

  • Powerful 3.6L Subaru BOXER flat 6-cylinder engine
  • Standard leather-trimmed interior
  • Available rearview camera

Despite these highlights, the new Subaru Tribeca actually falls well short of its competitor the 2014 Honda Pilot in the areas that matter most to consumers.

For starters, the 2014 Honda Pilot’s 3.5L V6 engine gets a commanding 253 lb-ft of torque, edging out the Tribeca’s 3.6L flat-six that puts out 247 lb-ft of torque. The 2014 Pilot (2WD) also provides better fuel economy with a combined city/highway estimated fuel rating of 21 mpg*, compared to the Tribeca’s combined 18 mpg.

Most individuals looking for an SUV have size as a priority, and the Pilot wins out in that category as well. The 2014 Pilot has standard seating for eight passengers, while the Tribeca only has seating for seven passengers. Passenger volume in the Pilot is 153.7 cubic feet, while the Tribeca comes in at a cramped 133.5 cubic feet.

The Pilot also has a number of standard features that aren’t even available on the Tribeca, including a telescopic steering column, electronic parking assist, an overhead console storage compartment, and a lift-up glass hatch.
